Reviews & Ratings

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handles the worst of the worst! I use this machine on a daily basis at work. I use it almost continuously throughout the day, and have yet to have any dire issue with the machine. I am a fabricator of corrugated metal pipe. I weld primarily aluminized and galvanized with the occasional aluminum here and there. I wouldn't trade this machine for anything in the world. I have been saving up to purchase one for home just because I love it so much. Welding the stuff I weld on a daily basis, non-shielded, can prove to be difficult for some machines, but not these 252's. The amount of range these machines have is unreal. I weld anything from 16 gauge on down to 10 gauge, and never have an issue acquiring the absolute perfect setting. I'm the supervisor in the fabrication department and I can tell you right now it will be well beyond my lifetime before we ever switch to different welders. Good job Miller on a Homerun. Be proud of your product. I know a company full of professional welders that love your product and would recommend it to any and all.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Inconsistent arc I had two millermatic 35 machines that I replaced 10 years ago with two millermatic 251machines. I loved all these machines and burn about one 44 lbs spool of wire per week. I recently bought a millermatic 252 and have not been happy with it at all. For 2500 dollars I expected it to weld at least as good as the old ones I have if not better. I've always like millers but maybe my next one will be red.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my 252 This machine is made in USA! That is important to me. It welds great from light short circuit to heavy spray. This is my big iron that I roll out when I have to deposit some metal. I would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth as a baby's bottom As my old man says "even you can weld ok with that machine''. This Mig welder will make just about anybody look like they actually know what they're doing. So versatile, reliable, and smooth! Should be in every shop!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product I had been wanting a welder for 3 years, but my husband and I couldn't agree on what model to get. He wanted a 211 and I wanted a 252. Last Christmas he surprised me with a 252. I absolutely love it. I build horse shoe projects, and this welder is so easy to regulate, I can weld 3/16th shoes, and change settings and then weld a new floor in the throat of his combine, which was much thinner than horseshoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Machine, Does it all !! I've owned my 252 for almost a year. I'm building a 69 Camaro and using a 2013 ZL1 Camaro floor pan and drive train. The 2013 floor pan is aluminized which is almost as bad as galvanized but the Miller burns right thru it and blends both metals together well. I LOVE the feature to be able to just grab the spool gun and start welding aluminum and not doing any switching to the welder. The Spot / Stitch weld timer works great allowing you to dial in the exact time for lenght of weld time and burn back time. I would recommend this welder to Everyone looking to weld steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Welder I've used, second only to the Millermatic 251 This welder is everything I could ask for. I have taught my entire family to weld with it including my 57 year old mother. All of them can now make professional welds, mostly because this welder is so easy to use. The only complaints I have is I miss the non-digital"ness" of the 251 and I don't like the plastic wheels on the cart I bought with it, both seem like they will eventually break. In all fairness nothing has broke and I have had to do zero maintenance and I'm very happy with the functionality so I do have to say it's the best mig machine setup I've ever used.
