Reviews & Ratings

Rated 5 out of 5 by from pleased I'm happy with my miller digital performance welding helmet. The head gear is supper adjustable to make it very comfortable. The lens in it is very clean and you can adjust it's to do what ever, whenever, and how ever u want it to respond. The only negative is the price it was a little steep but at the end of the day can you really put a price on your eyes comfortability? I think not so therefore I'm pleased with my purchase and hopefully years done the road if I have any issues I will be replacing it with another miller

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellant hood! I have been in the welding trade for 35 years, have owned a countless number of welding hoods, this hood is far superior to any hood I have owned. I had two speed glass hoods prior to this and they were o.k. Except they had wobbly headgear. I love this headgear, very comfortable and I like the three different lens modes super convenient. One small problem at first which I thought was going to disappoint me was the hood would creep down, then I tightened headgear knobs somewhat extremely tight and it now stays up and falls when I want it to. Badass hood.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Blue Rage The three modes of grinding, cutting, and welding work well. The hood is light-weight on the head. The plastic shell seems flimsy relative to my other hoods, and I am concerned it would crack or break if it ever gets dropped. It is disappointing that the hood does not have auto-off feature like my other hood to prevent draining the battery. The hood is not inexpensive at $300 with tax.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall rating is very good! I am not a profesional welder. However most of the time we are the people in a position to rate a product based on what is not part of the deliverables that were exepected. My overall rating for this welding mask is very good. What I like the most is the size of the lense offered to the welder. Unfortunately, I need specticles and they have a tendancy to fog under the mask. A better ventilation would help especially under a latitude (I live in a valley) where the residual humidity in the air is saturated. Pierre, Ottawa , Canada.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Purchase for the Money I work in technical theater, and depending on the set design, there's a lot of cutting, welding, and grinding to do. This helmet does it all, and is excels at it all in my opinion. For me, the best things are the infinitely adjustable headgear, the easy to use (even while wearing gloves) controls, and the quick-release lens cover. The guys I work with have a lot more trouble adjusting their helmets than I ever have! I love this helmet, and plan to keep on using it and recommending it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible helmet This helmet blows almost any helmet out of the water. Easily adjustable tint, sensitivity, and the way it fits on you. The third arc sensor really helps out, as well as the solar power assistance. Not too bulky for field welds either, if you come across them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The helmet is perfect for any kind of welding I love it. Only problem is you have to replace the protective screen often. Replacement is beyond easy Perfect for any kind of welding. Only problem is it is kinda bulky. It's hard to use a resperator. If the job requires it, get the smallest one you can find. I use the 3M one with the pink circles on the sides. The delay takes its time but it shades out super fast. I love the spot to put a cheater lens into the helmet. I haven't put one in but I have the brackets. I weld for a railroad company, so very heavy duty welding. I love the ease of replacing everything. Plain and simple, perfect helmet for me. I'm excited to try the digital elite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goodbye conventional welding hood I resisted buying a auto darkening hood for years. I think I picked a winner with this product. It's lightweight and comfortable in summer heat as well as a Minnesota winter. Fogging is much less of a problem and memorising the stinger position before lowering the hood has gone away. I do a lot of farm repair welding and have several different machines. The shade is easily adjusted from plasma cutting to welding. I think this product is worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent helmet, many features. Due to the fact I don’t weld every day I wasn’t sure I wanted to spend $225.00 for a helmet. After some internet research I purchased the Miller Digital Performance series and I’m glad I did, this helmet is great. It’s easily adjustable and has many features. I would recommend the purchase of this helmet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For the price just as good as a 400 dollar helmet I would recommend this helmet to everyone on the job and the cool features it has are outstanding

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent product for its cost Its a year later and still using it. Never had to replace batteries yet due to its ability to recharge when welding. Sensitivity and shade adjustment is a great feature. I would recommend!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just a Good Product I bought this helmet in conjunction with several other miller products. My motivation was to get out of the cheap plastic helmets you can easily find. For me these usually would break very shortly after purchasing. My dissatisfaction was with the head gear being made of plastic and therefore stripping out any tightening or adjustment nuts. I was a little disappointed at first to see this helmet too is just plastic, however I have used it quite a bit and it is still holding in there. I also find the features simple to understand and use and much better than previous helmets. Very comfortable to wear and like I said easy to use.
