Reviews & Ratings

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All around good I bought it before I went back to school. I love it. I can use it all day no matter what I am doing. The only disadvantage is the shell has a matte finish that collects dirt and dust and scratches easily. That is just a minor point.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not impressed I was given this helmet by my employer and I gave it an honest try. I have an older 7300 series (a bit beat up) and I have switched back to it. The inability to put the helmet up far enough to keep it up drives me nuts, I'm trying to do layout and it keeps creeping down, the side retainers don't have enough grip. It has a "click" open point but if you put it high enough to engage it you can't do the head whip to get the helmet to come down. and the "clunk" resounding through my skull as it engages and disengages p*sses me. The electronics are so so, they turn off and then you have to 'boot" the helmet to changes the modes, I still prefer the analog controls on the inside, that way I can be assured what mode its going to engage in when I pickup after its "gone to sleep". also the internal touchpad is prone to burns from welding sparks, And I firmly believe i would find myself having to replace the electronics unit because of this if I continued to use the helmet for my job. I guess that's why they are not rated for overhead welding which ultimately makes them useless for my line of work were i find myself under things fixing them as I find myself actually manufacturing in flat position

Rated 5 out of 5 by from sturdy and light with lots of viewing area Bought this baby 4 years ago and its the second one i purchased because the first one i owned was crushed by a rookie who "forgot" to move it as we were lowering a 80,000/lb building on its pilings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from pleased I'm happy with my miller digital performance welding helmet. The head gear is supper adjustable to make it very comfortable. The lens in it is very clean and you can adjust it's to do what ever, whenever, and how ever u want it to respond. The only negative is the price it was a little steep but at the end of the day can you really put a price on your eyes comfortability? I think not so therefore I'm pleased with my purchase and hopefully years done the road if I have any issues I will be replacing it with another miller

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellant hood! I have been in the welding trade for 35 years, have owned a countless number of welding hoods, this hood is far superior to any hood I have owned. I had two speed glass hoods prior to this and they were o.k. Except they had wobbly headgear. I love this headgear, very comfortable and I like the three different lens modes super convenient. One small problem at first which I thought was going to disappoint me was the hood would creep down, then I tightened headgear knobs somewhat extremely tight and it now stays up and falls when I want it to. Badass hood.
