This is a propane tank bird feeder. I cut this out of an empty 20 lbs propane tank for a very good friend of mine. I used my plasma cutter to cut it out. Both of them are avid hunters/outdoors enthusiasts and fans of Browning products. The tank has a couple coats of primer on it and they can paint it any colour they want.
I make sure the tank is drained of all propane. The tank handle is cut off with a cutting disk and I then hammer the valve loose with the small sledge hammer. The tank then further airs out for 2 days. I draw the pattern out on the tank with a paint marker. Just like scroll sawing wood, I drill holes in the areas to be cut out and I cut the rest out with my plasma cutter. I grind out all the burrs, sandblast and paint it.
Plasma cutter, drill, grinder, 3 pound sledge hammer, MIG welder, abrasive blaster
