I needed a front bumper on my new welding truck so we got after it. Using an extra piece of 12" channel as the base for the bumper I added the light wings and plenty of bracing throughout.
I started with a base of 12" channel and started cutting and bending from there. After the bumper part was done it sure seemed like some "light-wings" would help break things up. After that, I cut a small luver in the middle of the bumper and double/triple braced and gusseted everything. A quick trip to the powdercoaters and some silver and I had one bad-ass front bumper!
My new miller-matic 252, and the good ol' cutting torch. We could not plasma through this thick of material
