We built a super efficient and pleasure to use welding table. It has a 48" x 96" x 1" thick steel plate. The legs are made from 4" square tubing with .375" wall thickness. It features 3 dedicated 120 volt circuits with outlets on each leg, (2) 208 volt 50 amp outlets and one 208 volt 20 amp circuit.. And pressurized air on all 4 sides for pneumatic tools.
This was built by myself and Scott Caparn for a company we work for. We also left 8" inches along each side for easy clamping. Lastly, the table can be moved and relocated by one guy in 5 minutes due to 4 heavy skates that we added. It would also require a single c clamp and a small engine lift.
We built up the support first using the steel tubing mentioned earlier and then topped it off with the massive 1350 lb steel plate. The feet are also insulated from the floor with 1/4" rubber sheet on every foot.
Milwaukee chop saw
Miller mig welding gear. (Superb performer.)
Various grinders and hand tools.
Rigid pipe threader.
