    So does that mean the amplitude / wave form
    Upgrade is free or just the update for stick...?

    it means it exists and there is a part # for it as well
    Not sure on the release date tho.

    Hopefully it's not too expensive .......it's a good sign of things to come regarding the SD port

    FK, are you in the test group for the upgrade? Very cool. Any insight so far? My 280DX arrives next week. Can't wait!

    If your welds look like that, maybe you don't need it.

    The part I am looking forward to using the most is the ability to use separate waveforms for positive and negative.
    Laying down pretty welds on new material is one thing. Laying down decent work in a repair situation while out of position is always a challenge.
    The last two videos we posted (on our Facebook page) we was using the 280 and just using plain ole sign wave. On crappy dirty greasy cast it always works better for me. On the video you can actually HEAR the sound is sine.
