Miller Electric Mfg. Co. is excited to announce the grand prize winners of the Job Weld Done Giveaway. Miller® knows its customers and fans work hard every day, whether they make their living as fabricators or weld as a hobby. The promotion was an ideal opportunity to give away exciting grand prizes and premium welding and cutting equipment to Miller fans, to help them do great work and get the job done.

The three grand prize winners, and their individual prizes, were:

  • James Ringrose of Thompson, Tenn. won a trip to Bristol, Tenn. for a NASCAR weekend getaway.
  • Don Valente of Post Falls, Idaho won a trip to the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
  • JodyLynn Johnson of Clio, Mich. won the EPIC Chopper, designed and built by Darwin Motorcycles.

The Job Weld Done Giveaway began in April 2012. Each month, one winner was awarded premium Miller welding or cutting equipment, including MIG welders, TIG welders, plasma cutters and accessories. Additionally, 10 winners received Miller T-shirts each month.

Monthly premium welding and cutting product winners were:

  • April - Colin Payton
  • May - Mark Savory
  • June - Charles Sharpe
  • July -  Todd Isoshima
  • August -  Jennifer Andrews
  • September - George Maltais
  • October - Johny Edlund
  • November -  Glen Moore
  • December -  Bruce Hagopian

Miller was delighted to hear back from a few of the monthly winners with information about how they're using their Miller welding equipment today.

In May, Mark Milton entered the giveaway and won the Bobcat™ 250 engine-driven welder/generator. He's currently using the Bobcat 250 on the site of his future home.

"It works great in that the new structure will be steel beams and welded/fabricated, and lots of external artwork and kinetic sculpture," says Milton. "Perfect place to make use of a generator-style Stick/TIG, given that there is no energy available on the building site until May 2013. It has come in extremely handy there in running as a generator for lighting and the air compressor, and for powering normal construction equipment, as well."

George Maltais, the September winner of the Millermatic® 212 Auto-Set™ MIG welder and Spoolmate™ 200 series gun, says the prize has been extremely useful for him and his son Marty.

"I really can say that this welder has come at the upmost perfect time, and I am truly enjoying it beyond belief," says George. "At the time of entering, my son had started a long project of restoring his '89 Ford Mustang where extensive bodywork was required. I found out I was the winner when he was in the midst of stripping his car's interior. Since the welder has arrived, it has been put to great use: My son has repaired his rocker panel, as well as his quarter panel on his Mustang, and is currently working on the rear section, including the frame."

Without the welder this job would have been a struggle for George and Marty, but they have almost completed the project. In addition to the Mustang, they've used the Millermatic 212 MIG welder for fabricating a custom motorcycle trailer hitch, patching up exhaust systems, and repairing the bush bar on the family ATV.

"It has outperformed our expectations," says George. "It truly was a blessing to have been the winner of the welder, and I can't wait to see what will come next from using the Millermatic 212 MIG welder."
