Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Price I've Found and An Excellent Machine If you are researching a Miller, then you probably already know it is a top of the line welder. I knew I wanted to go with a Miller, the only question was which kind? I'm an oilfield mechanic and from time to time do some work related welding, but I am by no means a professional welder. I work for a major oil company, and our platform uses a Miller, by the way. Anyways, I went with the Thunderbolt AC because it was much cheaper than the Thunderbolt AC/DC and also because I wanted to "master" AC stick welding. DC stick welding is much easier, so with me being able to weld AC at home, DC at work will be "simple". That's why I went with this machine and the price is why I bought it at this website.
