Reviews & Ratings

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little welding machine I've welded for 40 years in fab shops & shipyards, the maintenance guys at work keep one of these little welders in the tool room for repairs. So, I've had a chance to weld with them before. The first thing I did when I retired was buy a Thunderbolt, and that's been about five years ago. And its still running great, the best cracker box you can buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great litttle welder I have only had this welder for about 3 months but I've used it a lot and I couldn't be happier with it. I used it to build a welding table, vise stand, grinder stand and a small trailer so far. An excellent welder at a reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't be beat! No better stick machine available at this price point! Smooth buttery arc but still plays well with 60xx series electrodes. I've had mine for 5 years now and have put it through the paces and it welds better now than the day I brought it home. It can even handle 3/16 sticks without blinking. Love my lil thunderbolt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great simple small stick welder I ran this thing way over the duty cycle. I would use this thing for 2 or 3 hours 3 or 4 times a weeks for over 3 years straight. I'm sure it still works great. I just don't use it much as I bought a dynasty. Some times in one sitting I would weld maybe 7 or 8 pounds of 1/8 7018 rod. The Thunderbolt would grone and whine but always continued to weld. At one point I hooked up a TIG torch and scratch start tig welded with this thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very durable machine. Great little machine, we've had ours now for 9 years using it on heavy equipment repair and after hours of abuse it keeps going. My Miller rep. doesn't like hearing this but we've even used for gouging with 3/16" rods in short stretches.
