Rated 4 out of 5 by from Multimatic 200 supper e-zzz setup I've bout Multimatic 200 about a year ago 2014 I've used mig with flux core wire about 5-8 times on exhaust on my truck my first time ever mig welding exhaust .the Multimatic 200 made a first timer like me at ease welding thin metal and made it possible for my welds holdup and look ok for first time. I fab a few I beams brackets out of 3/8 steel on 110v work great with flux core mig

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Machine Use machine for general repair and some fabrication. Super smooth arc starting. Use mostly 3/32 Arctec 223 so I can run lower amperages. One of the easiest Migs to use as well, mostly exhaust and tacking with gasless flux core. Also runs off of my 5500 watt diesel generator on 220 with no problem. Lets see how long it lasts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from smooth, clean arc - duty cycle 20% its a great portable machine for small repairs etc...has plenty of power for mild steel up to 5/16" but 3/8" is pushing it. wire feeder and gas suddenly stopped working, checked gun-no problems there, circuit board toasted from what i can tell so I had to send it in for repair yesterday. considering its only 6 mths old and is still on its first roll of wire I am thinking this machine may not be the best if your planning to use it every day since the duty cycle is only 20% which is not impressive for a machine that puts out 150amps.I bought to replace a 20-year old century machine thats 150 amps and has run 25 or more roles of wire through it and still does the job so I have mixed feelings about the multi matic

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome welder This welder is absolutely great, love it and the tig kit is a must have. If they ever come out with a 250 amp machine ill buy it in a hart beat. my only complaint is the weird configuration of the exterior

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not reliable - second repair in 18 months Purchased machine in November 2012. First time I used TIG I had problems with gas flow. Had to take it in for service (30 miles each way and in the shop for 3 weeks). Turns out an internal hose was pinched during assembly cutting off the gas flow. Now 18 months later, it's going back in for service because the gas has stopped flowing on MIG. It's a great machine when it works but quality is obviously lacking. I had a Millermatic 135 for 10 years and never had a problem with it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from this product is for a weekend warrior At first site this machine looks like a good deal but it is misrepresented does alum if you buy atatchments has no hf so mig is all the alum you can do. the tig function is ok for large items but the lift arc is terrable. Have not used the mig function cause im trying to get the distribuitor to buy this thing back so i can get a 210 syncrowave a real tig machine

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Bought this product in January 2014. So far have ran thirty pounds of mig wire and ten pounds of 6011 1/8 inch and some 7018 with it. Absolutely no problems and it has a super smooth arc on all processes. The auto set elite feature makes life so much easier for me. Welds exactly the same on 120 and 230. Great product and I am very happy that I bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply outstanding! Got a Multimatic in late January of this year. The quality of this machine is terrific. But, most important to a noob like myself is the complete ease of set up this machine affords. My son (just turned 15) loves this thing. We are both learning to learn with it (I say both, but I have trouble getting it out of his hands) and the automatic settings really give you the confidence to jump in and run beads. We have completed several projects so far and keep dreaming up more. What's more, this is not a toy welder. It is up to the rigors of professional use and with its dual voltage capability and light weight, I believe that plenty of pros could make use of this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super smooth MIG welder. Its my go-to welder I've had it for little over a year now. It is by far the smoothest, most spatter free MIG welder I have ever used. With C25 and .030 wire, I have litteraly welded everything from 18 gauge sheet metal, wire cage to 3/16" steel plate. It is effortless to put down a nice looking bead. You must try one! The only reason I didn't rate the value higher was because I haven't used the TIG or stick feature... It is a lot of money for a MIG only box... However, it is so good, that stuff that I used to only TIG weld, now gets MIG'd. Top that off with the fact that its portable and runs on 110V (I have done 11 gauge on 110) makes this thing very very useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine! I purchased this machine for starting a small repair company, This machine runs great. I have welded with a 3 phase density machine with 1/8" 6011 and this machine runs just as good. the auto set is great for quick jobs. The extra adjustment outside the auto set works great to fine tune or for advanced users. This is great for the home user looking for MIG, Stick and DC Tig. Two different gas inputs lets you have a bottle for MIG and one bottle for TIG. The TIG package comes with a gas regulator so you don't have to switch lines around. Just hook up the leads and go. Great all around machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great porable machine works great for stuff under 3/ and on site fix or fab.Duty cycle when pushed is a little better than rated. have not tried TIG yet, but MIG and flux core works very well at 230 volts input.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellant machine This welder is so compact, light weight, yet very powerful. We bought it for on the job site welding of steel railing and has been a great time saver.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for most jobs Very versatile machine. Easy to use, especially for novices. Light , adequate power and well thought out. It would be nice to have a bit more power, say 175 amp DC at 30-50 % duty cycle for the thicker steel but for 90% of my work it is more than adequate

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 200 Mutimatic is a must have for portable work! This machine does very well stick welding and flux core welding, for its size and weight everyone is surprised at how well it works. All of our work with it has been during the winter and cool spring so when it gets warm during the summer it will be interesting to see what happens to the duty cycle. So far there has been no problem with it, and we have really put it through some long days. We even use it to tig items in the shop as it is so easy to setup for a small job. But it really shines in the field due to its portability and power, we mainly use it on 220 off of a 325 trailblazer. I can not even think of any suggestions that would improve this machine, unless you could make it wireless!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great all in one welder I've been welding for a couple years, mostly doin MIG, wanted to get heavy into TIG and still do MIG and Stick. The Multimatic 200 is the perfect machine. It's small, lightweight and does all three. It takes less than 30 seconds to switch from one process to the next. The Auto Set feature is great and you can shut that off and set your own parameters.I have the spool gun for aluminum but have not tried it yet but I'm sure that will work great as well. The Multimatic 200 is by far the best welding machine for the money

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The quality of the Multimatic is great The multimatic 200 works realy well. I have used cheaper welders but this machine turned me into much better welder instantly. Tig welding still takes a little practice but is still better than anything I have done before and with the spoolmate 100, it is real easy to lay a perfect weld with aluminum.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Multi-Process made affordable Lightweight, portable and with the ability to SMAW; FCAW; GMAW and GTAW, what more can an independent contractor ask from a welding machine??? oh yeah, very decent pricing

Rated 4 out of 5 by from expensive but great features The auto feature save time heven if you have to cheat on material tickness. On heavyer metal, 3/16 and up, you need more than one run. It is expensive for a hobby and to small for farm standard work. It save space and is fit for small job, a clean job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spot on with other Miller products For a machine of its size, portability, and versatility the Multimatic 200 can't be beat. I have used the machine for flux core mig and solid wire mig, stainless and mild tig, and it is a very capable machine when used within its capacity for these processes. I find the arc is a bit harsh, and tend not to use the Auto-set feature, but what it lacks in arc softness and duty cycle, the 200 makes up for in versatility, quality of manufacture and portability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Multimatic and Great Support. I had a passport which is an excellent welder. I got the Multimatic soon after it came out. What a machine! I thought it was superior out of the box. I got a letter after registration that the firmware was changed and the upgrade was free. Short story, Miller sent me the upgrade chip and now what a machine! Its like carrying my 250X over my shoulder. It is truly a pleasure to use and it will lay it down either 110 or 220. The upgrade really tweaked the arc like they said. There is cheaper but what do you get. You get difficult parts and/or no support. I haven't been disappointed with any of my Miller products. Miller 250X over 10 years, Passport 5+ years, Multimatic 6 months.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent versatility When the welder first arrived we had a problem with the mig wire feeder being wired backward from the factory. Once that was fixed we put the welder into service. All of our guys love it! Its compact and light. The auto set works well for most situations and allows adjustment. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get a clue buy blue. Miller is top of the line. I have yet to have a Miller machine cause me any issues. The new Miller Multimatic 200 is limited only by the person that is using it. I purchased this for my maintenance crew to use in a large maintenance organizaation and it is a really good machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile Great to have TIG and MIG in one affordable package.
Date published: 2013-04-30
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Millermatic 200 This machine works great on the mig and tig settings but does not keep an arc on 6010 and doesn't have a very stable arc on your lo-hi stick electrodes. So this machine is very easy to take up stairs and is industrial plant friendly do to the weight. It is only lacking the smaw capabilities.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best portable multiy process welder out their. I soled my passport plus to get the multimatic and never looked back. I love the ease of the smart setup on the controls. It produces some of the nices welds clean and crisp. I don't like that it only does lift arc start while do TIG.
