Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well rounded i bought this machine when I was 16 and spent my whole life savings and it was definitely worth it. It works awesome! just make sure you use strong power on the 110 volts at home. It got me started on my career as a pipefitter and it literally will do it all. It was the gateway to my career in local 597 out of Chicago and it already paid itself off in side work so definitely worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good portable Machine for Alaska work I am an aircraft mechanic in Alaska, and I was looking for a multi-function machine I could bring on the plane to remote area jobs, and also keep in the garage at home. This machine has worked well under most conditions I have put it through. I have not attempted using it in sub zero temperatures yet, and I doubt the screen readout will work properly. Otherwise I have been able to pack everything I need for a job and kept the weight under 100 lbs. Cons- I love the feed gun, however, parts are a little harder to come by for it. I stay stocked up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great multi use product. I am a contractor and needed a product that would do multiple jobs instead of having to have multiple welders. This is not a production welder but does a great job for our random repairs and fabrication work. Small and easily portable to job sites that may not always have 220 available. Only rated good on value because it is so expensive. My son had never welded before and I worked with him for one day. He practiced and after one week he was laying down nearly perfect beads with flux core wire that held up to my break tests. He now does most of my welding for me. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great welder I've been welding for 10 years had a max star 150 stick welder just bought the mulitmatic 200 love it for the garage on smaller project trailers, tree stands ect. Wish it would have more amperage for tig only gets 150 but other then that great welder. Auto-set is nice and that you can up amps if needed. love that i dont need to by multiple welders this one does it all for the do it yourself er in the garage

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all-rounder I've used a number of machines over the years, this is my first Inverter based machine, and all I can say is wow, this thing is smooooth on all processes. I've only run stick to see how it does, but the little i did run was smooth and predictable. The TIG setup (with the add-on "Contractor Kit") is easy to set up and works well, though if you are used to a larger TIG machine, you may be wanting just a few more amps. I bought this to replace my aging portable light duty MIG machine and I have no regrets in that department (it is about 40% higher rated in terms of max amps on the same input power - 120v) The gun is great, with a good feel and a "Happy Medium" in terms of overall size and weight. The "centerfire" tips are much more robust than the old threaded style ones and last quite a long time by comparison. The regulator that come with the unit and the TIG kit are of good quality and work well My only minor complaint is that the ground clamp could be a bit more robust out of the box.
