Rated 5 out of 5 by from The animal in my garage I have owned the machine for six years now and it still runs like a champ it takes anything I throw at it and just keeps on running. LOL they say nothing runs like a deer well if they were into welding equipment their deer would be heading for the high country from the fear of this beast. But no really this machine can handle anything from thin gauge sheet metal all the way up to half inch plate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Have welded for 20+ yrs and this welder is really nice you can set it yourself or use the auto set mode whatever you are comfortable with, have not welded the extremes with this welder (22ga, 3/8") but every thing so far works very well. If you are looking for a welder that will do more than just little jobs I would recommend this welder I also recommend getting the spool gun, to weld aluminum also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best there is!!!!!!! Bought the rig for home workshop use, originally was gonna buy the lincoln 216 but lincoln was dragging there feet with the order so i stopped at the near by welder shop and purchased the miller 212 auto. This unit is awesome, i personally dont use the auto set feature but this unit is extremely easy to tune for any application. sure it cost more then a lincoln but id buy this unit over any other machine any day of the week. You cant go wrong with this dude!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from stupid easy to use upgraded from a home center buzzbox to the auto 212. I've been making garden structures - arbors, trellises etc. along with furniture (steel and reclaimed wood) and have had the 212 for about a year and haven't had any problems. Joy to use. Love the auto wire feed speed. I wish the on/off switch was more accessible with a large red light to show if it was on or off. Put it at the top of main panel? I wished it came with a longer ground cable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from will not feed .023 wire I bought this for my fabrication business. alot of my work is automotive sheet metal replavement. If this is your primary intended use, then this is NPT the machine for you. will not feed .023 wire! i have tried many things over 3 tears i have owned this welder, and it will not feed .023. it also loves to burn back, so you will be trimming the wire after every tack. it will do everything else a welder is suposed to do, and miller quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This unit is great, and has great Aluminum welding capability that I have used and it works great. I had a Century 250amp with 60% duty cycle that I used for 20 years, after purchasing and using the Miller 212,and the 200 Spool Gun From Miller. I was so impressed with the welding of steel and aluminum that I just sold my Century 250amp. The quality of the Miller unit far surpass the Century Unit. It is more industrial quality of Welder of the two. Signed one very Happy Customer. Jim in AZ.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Welder with a few shortfalls I purchased my new Miller 212 to replace a 30+ year old Miller that died on me, and was told parts would cost more than a new welder. New Miller would not feed wire at first, so returned it, and had the salesman try it. He agreed it had a problem, and it was shipped in for work. Was returned with a note saying I was using the wrong size wire. In welding for 35 years, I thought .035 wire was always .035 wire. Welder then worked fine on manual, but still doesn't feed on the auto set, just as before. Cons- The ground cable could be much longer. Looks like someone was trying to cut costs. Also the on-off switch is in a very poor position, hid under a lip, that can not be seen while standing. This welder has a long ways to go to hold a candle to my 30 year old Miller
