We have a successful welding and fab business that has more projects than we can handle. I am a CPA (retired) that grew up in the farming and machinery maintenance and repair business. Look at our web site www.onsitelubetrucks.com . We may have some ideas that we will share with you that would b enefit both of us.

Have you thought about setting up for portable welding? Would you be willing to take jobs at all hours of the day/nite, say welding on a tractor-trailer rig broken down on the interstate at 2:00am on a Sunday morning. I'm guessing the more established welders are going to opt for staying in bed. It could easily complement your fixed base operation.

I agree, a mobile setup can really help you alot. Especialy since you want to do so much farm equipment repair. You could also advertise online and in the AWS magazine, not to mention your local welding supplier. Advertising online line allows you to accept jobs from all over. The company I work for is shipping over 1250 chemical filtration devices that way over 1325lbs. apeice to brazil by Fed Ex.
