    Default Whats Up Everyone!?

My name is Jonathan and havent posted here before but I always read everyone's posts. Im 18 and currently go to a technical college for welding. I took welding at my highschool for my senior year only because I took auto for all 4 years but my senior year I was able to take both. Planned on working on cars for a living but I changed my mind. So now Im really into welding and fabricating. But I still love working on cars. So Ive been in this tech school for about 4 months and love it. So far Ive done stick in all positions using 6010 and 7018 rods, I did oxy-fuel at my highschool which I dont think its used nowadays but it was cool to learn, and Im currently doing overhead MIG and almost finished with it. Ive also done TIG but only with mild steel. Just wanted to let you guys know some info about me. And I do have a question. Ok here's the deal there is this automotive performance shop that my friend works at and his boss is currently looking for a weldor for welding up turbo, intercooler, exhaust piping, and a/c lines. Now I dont know how to TIG any of this yet but Ive talked to my teacher and he said he'll teach me how to do this as long as its to get a job. So Im going to start practicing on teusday when I go back to school and I was wondering if you all could give me some pointers before I actually start practicing. Thanks. Oh here is and axample of what I'd be making if I get the job

SS is easyer than steel and steel is easyer than aluminum but all are similer to O/A. so if you did O/A you should pick the rest up prity quickly. your instructor should get you squared away in no time on how to do it. after that its all about seat time to make it look nice, you just have to practise and then more of the same. you will be working on high $$ stuff so looks will most likely be a big part of it as well as getting a good bond.
sounds like you are on the right track, good luck.
    thanks for the help

**** kidd you got some nice S*** under that hood man. I am just about to go to college myself I am in my senior year and Id love to beable to do some of hte stuff you do for cars truck etc. Good luckl and jsut remember have fun. I find after I learned stick welding each type of welding I did jsut followed the same sort of method. There might be some little difference from having to use gas to using a rod or stick but hey its all good.
