7010 is reffered to as hippie rod around here, but the reference is actually to the designation HYPE, or high yield pipe electrode.

i was talking about 6011 rods everyone seems to have a different name for them so its hard to know what to really call them anymore it really is easier to just call them 6011 rods

actualy about your flux core check to see if its gas shielded flux core, i used alot of that at my last job and if i wasnt getting enuf gas it would have little pin holes all over the place
