    Default Problem with Bobcat 225

I have an older Bobcat 225 with a lot of hours on it. During the middle of a weld the arc quit. The engine is tuned and runs great. Someone mentioned that I should test the reostat (it checked out fine 2 - 12 ohms). The machine will arc but only to a samll degreee, just enough to get the rod end red. Just Wondering is anyone knows of what may be causing this. Thanks for you help.

    Default Big problem

Grab a circuit diagram, put it under load and start tracing backwards until you find it.

My low output was due to a dead capacitor. 70 bucks later and I was up and burning.
