YMBAWI....
You take one look shiny white PVC fence in front of a yuppie horse ranch and think......slackers!!! it's not fence unless you've used terms like fishmouthed, winched, springed and cabled.
You know of at least ten uses for sucker rod, and none of them are in the oil field.

When you can have a three hour conversation with your dad and nobody else has a clue what you are talking about you might both be welders.
When you would rather just live in the shop than have a house, and use the money you save for more equipment.
When people see the truck with the machine in the back and welding in big letters and still ask "are you a welder?" and all you say is yep.
I used to tell them no I'm a plumber or a painter, etc., but I got tired of having to explain why I had a welding machine in my truck and it says welding on it.
you have 10 different welding hoods and never use but one of them.
you use a cutting torch to heat your lunch.
you have 2 or 3 welding machines/cutting rigs sitting around you don't even know if work.
4 or 5 people are rolling laughing because half a pants leg has burned and you still haven't noticed you are on fire.
you throw a burning red rag against the air conditioner on the mechanics shop just because they have air conditioning.Lincoln: Eagle 10,000, Weld-Pak HD, Weld-Pak 155, AC-225, LN-25 wirefeeder

you have 7 fire extinguishers in the shop and all of them are discharged.

YMBAWI you go to make a line with a pen and stop to think if you should go vertical up or down!
I did this the other day when marking a piece for the tourch and thought of this thread right away.

will it weld
YMBAW... If you prefer to breath ozone rather than oxygen .
... If you look around the world at the trees and the animals and
everything and wonder if you can weld it.
There is a video on Utube called "will it blend"... where is "will it weld"????
