look a these pictures, I have decided that the holes in that terminal were designed to store the bronze wire guides/tips. I have not found any reference in the owner’s manual as to the purpose of the holes. I do know that sometimes even the manufactures forget how well they make and design the products. I may be all wet but this works great and stores the tips. If Miller knows about these holes and this the purpose for them .............WELL DONE!

I thought that's what the lip on the edge of the bottom pan was for, so the tips could just roll around the bottom of the wire compartment. Those holes must surely be for something else...

Well it pays to read the information (RTP, read the poop), I though I found something. it turns out IN the instruction (owners) PDF form it says Item #7

yep i keep a few there myself as last resort, i keep the big stock in a little case with the other gun parts but when the case runs out and i cant get to the LWS i use the ones in the welder and make shore i get the the LWS to restock.
