    Default Miller 35

Hello: I am looking at an old millermatic 35 to purchase. Very good condition and cheap price. It welds excellent. I did notice however after 10 minutes of welding the cooling fan never came on. Is this normal? Wondering if the fan should be on all the time or just when it gets hot? Thanks in advance for any info.

    Default Fan ON

In those years the fan ran all the time.
You might need a new fan motor or if your lucky, oil.
The best welder I ever owned.

    Good Luck,
    Bob

Thank You Bob for reply. I will now remove panel and check for power and fan operation. Just wanted to confirm if the fan ran constant. I know it is a very old welder, however most feedback I have received is that these welders were good units.

So I removed cover and blew out extreme amount of dust and debris. Put a few drops of oil on fan shaft and magically fan runs everytime I power up unit. Seems all good now

I also say its a good machine, I cant say that my new 252 is any better than the miller matic 35 that I had or the MM 200 I bought back in 1987.
