    Default 30a

What's with this? Here is a 30A that I see on eBay that the seller says this about: "This is a new but not in original box Miller Spoolmatic 30A Mig pistol grip spool gun with 30' leads. This is rated at 200 amps at 100% duty cycle Capable of .030-1/16 in. aluminum wire and hard wire up to .045 in. with a 4" spool size. This gun also has the heavy duty air cooled head tube. Has been completely checked out by an authorized Miller service center and is in new condition. This gun was purchased from a company that went out of business and was a back up gun on the shelf and was never used. This list for just over $1200 and the heavy duty air cooled head tube is a $200 option. Here is your chance to have a new spool gun and save a great deal of cash. Winning bidder to only pay actual shipping cost. No packing or handeling fees here. Thanks for Bidding!" And here is a pic. Now, this is a so-called 3rd generation 30 with a second gen barrel stuck on it. Could someone please explain what's going on here? I HATE the qwik tip and gas cup, IMO they are an abomination created by Miller engineers that don't have anything better to do than find ways to earn their pay, even if it is f_____g something up that didn't need it. So, is it true that you can pay an additional 2 bills for a 'heavy duty' barrel assembly that was standard from, oh, 1986 to 2000 and something? Please, tell me it ain't so!OK, the webmeister won't let me post the pic so here is URL:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Miller-Spool...item3a93ee8686

What I'm going on about is I thought this was something available from Miller. And what exactly makes it more heavy duty than the stock item? Your high bidder and bid on what you make? I don't follow at all.

Is there such a thing as a bent (not a flex, I have that) barrel that uses a standard tip? IIRC, the one that Miller makes uses a different tip?
