Yep, takes a lot of power to swing those lock gates!!

I talk to 1 or two homeowners a week who have gone out and bought a 3000-4500 watt portable. They always want it set up to power their home or off grid vacation home. They are invariably disappointed. Why didn't they tell me this at Home Depot?
Compared to this a 10 KW machine seems big. I'm not clear what application one needs to synchronize and couple 10000 watt generators.
