    Default miller 30a spoolgun

Help! Ive been welding 1/8 and 1/4 aluminum with the spool gun. For some reason i keep bird nesting before the wire goes into the liner. tried adjusting everything and nothing helps . Any ideas? runs fine at first but keeps happening as I'm welding. plus when the wire stops the wire burns to the tip. FRUSTRATING!

Sounds like either a liner or contact tip issue.

is that 30A set up as a push-pull or as a true spoolgun with the little spools..??

model and serial number of the power supply..??

are you running oversized or aluminum specific tips..??
(tips intended for steel will jam up when the aluminum wire warms up and expands)

You have a piece of wire jammed in the barrel liner
