    Default Shielding gas

I'm new to all this so here is a rookie question, how can I tell if the shielding gas is working. I own an original Miller Passport and I've just added an external argon/co2 tank. Thank you.

If its not working properly or enough flow, you'll have bad porosity.

If you can hear it comming out the nozzle it's working.
Make sure the switch is flipped to the EXT tank.
Those little welders never cease to amaze me.
It's my go to welder for anything under 5/16''.
    Good Luck,

As bob just said, put the torch up near your ear and pull the trigger, you should hear the gas release in a hiss sorta.

Or buy one of these. Kinda handy to have around.

And make sure, you don't feed the wire into your ear. That might hurt.
    Obviously, I'm just a hack-artist, you shouldn't be listening to anything I say .....

Not if the ground clamp is attached to a bare toe.

All of the above and backseat tank valve. Open tank valve fully.
