    Thumbs down xmt 450 fan

Got a new xmt 450 at work running on 3 phase. Fan runs constantly. Even with no welding. How does the fan on demand supposed to work?

    Thanks

If it's less than 3 years old your machine is under warranty. I would take it to a repair center.

To answer your question, RT1 and RT2 heat sinks sense the temperature increase and PC1 turns on both fan motors.

Soooo, you turn the unit on and the fan runs, or do you let it sit and the fan runs in about 10-15 minutes, cause that would be normal as is still producing a minimal output internally

Then either the top control board fan control is pooched or simply its a failer thermistor likely the one mounted near the igbt's, right side under that big board
