    Default Bobcat 225G Plus

Hey Jeff, I picked up a older bobcat to play with, it spose to run but not weld.

So I had a quick look at it so far and found the fuel pump broke, so I have to fix that first and then get a run check in.

Any good place to start looking for a problem???????

Or is there a service manual to show test points?

I had one of those welders . If it won't weld or make 120v I would start at the main fuses that was a weak spot on mine. If it makes 120v but won't weld these guys will help you. There's a op manual on miller site.

Thx for the motor manual, did not have that one.....

the regular owners manual don't really tell you a whole lot.... kinda need a service/tech manual.

The op manual should show all the fuses I would start there and then look at the slip rings.

Once you get it running, if it produces auxiliary power but just won't weld, it's not a failed field current fuse F1.

Check to see if it has weld output in CV mode. If no output in CC mode but output in CV mode, there is a connection between stator output lead #72 and reactor AC-Z input that has been known to fail resulting in no CC output but still have CV output.

    Default Ok it's running

Ok I have it running, it's not at full power yet, but a little tune up should help that.

    No power no where.

What voltage should I have coming from excitition and going back into the rotor after going through the bridge rect.?
