Default quick electrician question about 3 phase

I have never dealt with 3 phase power.

When they say a welder draws 30 amps three phase does that mean it draws 10 amps on each phase or 30 amps on each phase.

Will a single lever 30 amp 3 phase breaker trip when any leg sees 30 amps or any leg is above 10 amps or the total is 30 amps?

Simply 30amps per phase. No adding/dividing of/for each leg.

Duane's right but just to make things complicated it's something like 1.72 factor on wattage with three phase.

As for welders they are better. Even sine wave, lots of overlapping bumps is better than a bump-flat bump-flat.........
