    Aronson wrote a lot about grounds. He had a very useful weld on mercury conductor for his positioners. Contact area makes more impact than conductor material.

    I have an old vice grip with copper pipe jaw and sweated on cable in addition to standard clamp.

    An all (100%) copper clamp would be a good conductor but it wouldn't be much of a clamp.

    FWIW... I have used bronze tools, wrenches, pliers, hammers.. etc..

    while working on radars where nonmagnetic tools were required because the magnetic field from the magnetron would rip steel tools from your hands...

    the bronze tools are plenty tough..
