    Default Arcing through TIG handle

I have a 250 DX tig machine that originally came with the diamond torch. One of my students was using it the other day and complained about getting shocked. Upon examining the torch, I found a small hole melted (burned) through the handle of the torch. I took the torch apart and saw some arcing at one of the tubings inside. The "defective" torch head was replaced with a new one but we are still getting the same problem. Has anyone had an experience such as this and what was your remedy?

Maybe use welding gloves, the HF is looking for a suitable ground, handle may have a hairline crack in it, wet, even just your bare hand (which you should have gloved anyways)will make the hf go there.

I'd look for a bad ground situation.
