    Default how to set up spray transfer

    Hi I just got a new millermatic 252 and I want to try to do spray transfer, what wire size do I need to have for this and what settings do I need.and any thing Ales that I am going to need to know.all help will be appreciated thanks.

    .035 or .045 will work.
    Argon rich gas,less than 15% CO2.
    Over 24 volts and app. 400 ipm for .045

    I you look up Millers MIG calculator it will show you settings for spray transfer.

    Material type and thickness are two other factors that play a role.

    Can somebody explain the differences between short circuit and spray transfer? When would one be chosen over the other?
