First off, this post has nothing to do with welding. I had to see a chiropractor due to some sever shoulder pain. He was telling me it was most liking repetitive motion injury so I should change things up a bit. I can use my left almost as well as my right so some jobs are easy. I am a trucker and pull flatbeds short haul. This mean a lot of strap winding with my right hand. My straps are left on the winches at all times. Some of the other guys are using battery powered drills to wind the straps up with good success. To take some stress off my aging joints, I too am going to get one.
What brand is reliable? Locally we can find Makita, Dewalt and Milwaukee. I havent looked at any yet. Price is less important than reliability and service life to me.
