    Unhappy Help with Syncrowave 200 PLEASE

    I need help setting up my syn 200 to tig weld thin alum Im not sure about where to set the pulse and the balance for thin gage alum

    Forget pulse. It is all but useless on alum.

    I cant get a good arc its iratic and has alot of prosity and crap
    I dont know if argon goes bad or what it doesnt matter what setting
    i use i have dressed the tungstin im at a loss

    Are you sure you have !00% Argon.???

    not some mig mix like C25??

    and if it is pure Argon... Have you double checked your hoses and fittings for tightness and leaks??

    also check your tig torch for proper assembly, o-rings tightness..... cracks in the body or back cap??? any of those conditions could cause a gas leak that could draw air into the gas stream....

    I can hear the gas coming out of the nozzel and doesnt apear to be leaking and yes
    it is pure argon not a mix

    is this a new gas bottle or one that you have used in the past with no trouble??

    mislabeled bottles are uncommon but the do happen..

    hearing gas at the torch is no guarantee that you do not have a leak causing an air inclusion and corruption of your shielding gas..even a small leak can cause problems... a close inspection may show...
