Default problem with miller maxstar 150s

    Hi all
A friend of mine had a miller maxstar 150s
It will power up but when you try to strike up the power light flashes and it wont arc,
Hes basically said to me if i can fix it i can have it (which will come in very handy as ive recently blown my old one up)
Please can someone help me out as ive got projects mounting up in my garage haha
    Cheers
    Cori

The power light will flash a code, so there should be breaks in the flashing. Quite likely though its pooched.

could you make note and report the flash sequence here??

Likely that Cruizer can decipher and give you a diagnosis...

he is a bit of a wizard on these matters...

Also... have you downloaded the manual for this unit??

here is the link... make sure that you search by serial number to insure that you are getting the proper version..

Posting that serial number here would be helpful as well..

    FYI...

These machines don't live long being powered by generators*(...What are the chances that your friend has used this machine for portable applications?

Hi im 80 % sure its never been run off a jenny
Apparently the LED flashes constantly with no noise and ot flashes approx 2 times per second

I looked at the manual the best thing i could compare it to was where it said it needs to be reset, would i just basically turn it on and off to do this?

    Hope someone can help
    Thanks

    Search Results

    Serial Number: LE42018M
Sorry, that serial number did not return an Owner's Manual.
Please try again or use the model name search below.

    Could you recheck the number??

maybe a mistake in reading it??

or possibly a UK version not in the online database?
