    Default CoolBand II

Just saw this info on this helmet cooler on the website.

Looks like it may be nice for in the shop welding, but not so much for the dirty in the field welding. Can't tell if the fans have filters. If not, some work environments could really shorten the life span.

I have the Coolband 1. As far as a filter it es a lint/hair filter at best. They give you extras but I have yet to even clean the original.

Good thing the Coolband 2 has a better headgear. Mine broke already and was not covered under warranty. The new one I hope clamps down on the head I hope as the original is really flimsy, hence broken.

It does cool your head some. Would I buy again, no. I would buy the Accustrike comfort hood, which includes a fan inside. For less than the price of the coolband you get the whole shabang. I think it is made in USA too. http://www.accustrike.com /comfort.htm
