    Default dialarc hf buzz

I have a dialarc hf...when I turn on its fine but makes loud buzzing sound when I turn off remote amperage switch...is that normal? Welder works excellent by the way!

When you turn "off" the remote , you are turning "on" the welder output.
The buzzing you hear should be the HF points arcing.
These older units do not switch off the HF when in panel control. (remote off)
Place HF control switch to off when stick welding. Buzzing should stop.
New welders say out put on or off for the same switch. you have to think backwards.
