    Default Stainless exhaust tips....what filler?

If you were to weld four purchased stainless exhaust tips and tubing together with butt and coped joints what filler would you use? 309? Would you HAVE to back purge? Thanks. Dave

What grade of stainless are you attempting to weld?
If you dont purge stainless tubing/pipe when welding, you are going to introduce sugaring in the weld and the quality of weld suffers. I would never weld stainless tubing/pipe without back shielding. Bad idea.
