Many years ago, before the skid steer, I built a helper that was a cart frame when I needed it and a post puller when it needed to be that.

I used the spindles from a small fat tired trailer and a frame out of 1 1/4" pipe. Because of the fat tires I could go over soft soil easy. I had pieces of 2 1/2" pipe welded front and back to receive levers made of 2" pipe. I could load four RR ties by myself, one end at a time on the deck and move them to the truck from a backyard all by myself. That was the motivation for it in the first place.

It's been handier than a pocket on a shirt, even after getting the skid steer. More than one project spent quality time on the rig during construction.
