Default Tig Wearfacing / Hardfacing Reference

My google skills are comming up short.

Can anyone refer me to a selection of Tig Rod for wear facing, and procedures?

    Thanks.

I have experience Wearfacing with Stick, and always air cooled but not with TIG.

The application is a grit valve in a Abrasive blasting system. Needs Abrasion Resistance. Not Impact Resistance.

Material is basically 1.25" Dia round stock with a chamfer on one end.

Plan A: is to weld it up and remachine the chamfer.

UTP A CELSIT 706 V. This is a tig or oxy acy wire made for pressure, impact, abrasion, corrosion, erosion, cavitation and high heat. Such as tight surfaces of fittings, valve seats, and cones for combustion engines, gliding surfaces metal to metal, milling and drilling tools. Got that from utp manual. U can also try just a simple silicon bronze. It makes a super hard surface but is not easily drillable/machinable.

    Thanks for the reply.

My local supply suggests "Weld Mold 959"
