    Default collars for dumbell

I tried freehand oxy but the inner hole was too sloppy for my liking. I used large 50mm washers but they don't have the thickness I am looking for. I'm going to invest in a plasma cutter. Is it possible to use wooden templates for a plasma cutter? I can make them easily with a hole saw. Or would the plasma just burn the wood. I was thought how to weld, but notthing about cutting or drilling.

They make circle burners for oxy/acet torches & also for plasma torches. The trick is to drill/pierce a starter hole to the inside of the cut line so you have a place to start easily without blow back.

Yes you can use wood for plasma templates. They will burn after awhile but easy to replace. You can also use aluminum which cuts easy with a hole saw.

I use plywood templates all the time with my plasma. As mmw just said a starter hole is key.

The help I'm getthing on here unreal. I think in ireland they've imported that much finished product from china that the fabricating skills have been lost.
