Receptacle goes in the wall or on the wall/surface mount.
No one said go to Lowes. I was just pointing out that the cost of a pre made 8/3 cord is about the same price as building yer own.
What are you paying in DE for 8/3 cord from the Electrical supply shop?

Receptacle is what's on my cord... in the pic above.

And yeah.. I would buy a pre made if it was the same or cheaper to get. 10/3 cord is about 2 bucks a foot. So I dunno what 8/3 is... definetly more.

When you disconnect always grab the plug so your fingers don't get behind it and touch the long stabs. I see this one has a handle to prevent contact with the stabs.

I bought a pre made on ebay. Totally worth it. 8/3 is $3/ft or more here. I paid under $130 to my door.MillerMatic 251
