Started on a vice stock stop today.
This is really handy when you are chamfering or drilling.

My design will allow the stop to locate parts on both sides of the vice at the same time.

I like it! Might even get off my tail and copy the project. I did spend an enjoyable afternoon awhile back milling up some magnetic parallel keepers to keep the parallels from drifting around instead of staying safely tucked up against the jaws of my vise. Worked well enough, but are a pain to keep the steel swarf at bay. I retrospect I should have just gone with the reversed spring spreaders normally used for that purpose.

    Thanks Roy.
Wanted to finish it today but I have a cold so off to bed.
    Should wrap it up tomorrow.
The arms are not as complicated as the back plate but there are two of them.

Using those router bits is not easy and they are not a true circle.
    Oh well it looks okay.

Stop is now complete and working.
    It adjusts in all directions.
Looking forward to many years of use.

To remove a tool from a collet chuck you require a tail spanner and an ER spanner. I have done this enough now to know that I need a collet chuck spanner that holds the unit while I change out the tooling. I purchased some 6061 aluminium angle and started milling.

Stamped and polished I mounted it onto the bed of the mill.
Easy to use and at hand.
No chance of dropping a mill bit on the floor anymore.

When your mill is set up it makes life so much easier.

I have tried all the dirt bike ramps on the market and they all seem to bend at the hinge so I don't use them any more. I purchased some painters planks from my aluminium shop and milled up a seat for it to sit on the tray of my ute.
