Cost of Used Welders - Realistic?

To show you how overpriced it is, I noticed what looks like a brand new Syncrowave 250, with lots of accessories, with pulse, ready to weld, but no cooler, for $2800.

This would actually be a pretty good deal. I was tempted, but I don't need that much power. That is the kind of welder I like to buy used, almost new, current production model, etc.

A decent tool for searching craigslist is something called Search Tempest. You put in your zip code and the search radius and it will turn up whatever is in that area, lets you search lots of different craigslists in different cities very quickly. One way to get comparable prices.

Got our old Syncro 250 (nice shape) with no stick leads and a piece of a TIG torch for $850. Couldn't test it on site but we knew where he lived. Nice unit, works just fine.
