There is only about 4" of dry ice/alcohol solution on the bottom. Just enough to cover the irons. Dry ice doesn't evaporate near as fast as liquid nitrogen when mixed with pure alcohol. This ranch will brand 300+ head when they brand. They leave the lid open while branding due to the slow evaporation. The irons they use are only 15" in total height.
