    Exclamation Preheating Prior To Welding Alloy Steel Pipe.

    Welding Alloy Steel Pipes Using GTAW 1/2" Pipes

    What is most convenient way to Preheat.?
    Which Equipments should be used to Measure Temperature.
    Please do the needful......

    If its big pipe you also might want to consider one of those weed burners hooked up to a propane tank provided your just trying to take the chill out of the pipe.

    Default Preheating Prior To Welding Alloy Steel Pipe.

    I use propane for Pre heat due to cost of acetylene. H/D weed burner for the big stuff or propane Rosebud tip on torch for smaller things.
    Use Laser Thermometer to read temp.
