Can anyone tell me if the the new 200 dynasty well tig thin aluminum up to about .080 on 115v or does it have to be 220v. I have heard some say one thing and others say another. Thanks

Yes indeed you can weld .080 alum.
Calculating that you set your amps per .001" of thickness, you can set your Dynasty to 80 amps to start. You can pretty much weld all day at 100 amps without much risk of throwing a 20 amp breaker. Anything above that will start taxing the 115 volt breaker. I limit myself to 120 amps whenever plugged into 115volts.
The default AC settings work pretty well for sheet alum. Helium can give you a hotter also when the chips are down.Last edited by shovelon; 01-31-2013 at 10:42 AM.
