U ain't suppose to use gas with flux coref wire. It aint dual shield.

Its called dial shield because of the gas acting as the second shielding agent... Hence the name dual shield. Most flux core is gas shielded actually.

tweak ur settings a little bit. ie. up the voltage a bit or knock the wire down a little to keep the spatter down. 9 times out of ten you will find a roll of dual shield on the wire feeder rather than gas-less flux.
