My Miller 211 has the following specs:
Rated Output
150 Amps at 23.5 VDC, 30% duty cycle (230 V)
Welding Amperage Range
30 - 210 Amps
Before looking at this in detail I would have thought these two values would have been the same on the top end.
Can someone explain these for me? Thanks.

Rated outputs are your typical everyday use. You could get the 210 amps out of it, but your duty cycle will drop to 10% or below.
