I'm a first time welder on a brand new Millermatic 140. I carefully dialed in all the adjustments and gas dials properly but I can't seem to get my wire feed in synch with how rapidly my weld is using up the wire, so each time I stop welding there is a 4-6" piece of wire projecting out of the handpiece that I feel needs to be cut off to get a manageable length of wire to start welding again. Any advice on what I need to do to correct this from happening would be super. I'm very happy with the welds I am getting and all, I just don't feel like something is working correctly and I don't have a clue as to how to start to correct it.
