I'm a rank beginner, just trying to understand things, slowly teaching myself TIG and stick, maybe MIG some day.

I think understand that a VS wire feeder (i.e. the 8VS or the 12VS) utilizes the welder power to run the wire feeder, and so doesn't require any additional cables.

I'm curious about how that works with pulsed MIG? Does the wire start & stop with the pulses, or am I missing something? Thanks for any help.
