OK IM new here and have no idea where this should be posted. so i have a blue star 180 that will only run when the starter button is held. as soon as you let off of the starter it will cut out. i don't know weather it the starter switch or the oil pis or something else.

Put gas in the tank and make sure the oil level is correct.
