Hello all, Got a question if i may. Ive got a Regency 250 PS and a Ex-treme 8vs feeder. And just by chance i noticed while looking through the owners manuals on the cover pages it says what processes that the unit is capable of, Well on the Regency's manual it only has GMAW and on the feeders it says both GMAW and FCAW. So my question is , Should i not switch the polarity on the Regency? Is it only for GMAW? Thanks .

I am not familiar with the regency but if you are able to change the polarity it should burn self shielding wire.

If you are running self shielding wire yes u will need to run reverse polarity. Does not matter what machine u are using.
