Hi i was wondering if anyone knew of pipeline jobs and welder helper jobs around ok. I am currently in Stillwater, ok and do have a good job but would like to try something different and always wanted to pipeline and fig its a good time to see what options i have. What is the pay of a helper? how do i go about finding someone who needs a helper? Any info would be great! thanks

Not sure what Non-Union helpers make, but in 798 they get from 20 to 30 per hour depending on what state you work in. You can call the hall in Tulsa and have them send you an application for a helpers book.

pipeliner798 are the helpers dispatched out of the hall to the job site, and then the foremen assign the helpers to the welders? Can the welders request any helper that they like worker with out of the hall? Can the contractors / welders request helpers by name, or does 798 go right down the out of work list, no requests allowed?
